This artwork is one of the images from the series called: “Witchy Weeds”, dedicated to the astrological planets of the Solar System. Each planet is represented through the plant that it patronises, as well as the numerous symbols corresponding to it.
 
This piece depicts, "Moon", through the sacred lotus flower. 
The Moon symbolises passive feminine initial, called to love, care, nourish and gently protect. The Moon (mother) receives the light of the Sun (father) and its impulse of creation, just as a woman's womb or the Earth receives a seed to nurture it. At the base of the picture you see the uterus as a symbol of the cosmic cradle of all life. As well as inextricably linked opposites of Yin and Yang forming one whole.
the Moon is associated with the soul, feelings and emotions, is connected with the hidden processes of the psyche, or rather with its unconscious part, revealing very personal desires and aspirations of a person. 
The Moon always faces the Earth with only one of its sides, while the other remains invisible to the earthly observer. Also, for a person, his own, true essence can remain hidden. On the painting you will notice the inscription in Latin “Cognosce Te Ipsum”, which means: Know Yourself. With a subtle understanding of your true needs, aspirations and desires, comes inner liberation and the formation of personality.
The Moon rules such zodiac sign as Cancer, as well as all the fluids on Earth. The movement of the Moon across the sky has a direct impact on the sea tides, and organisms of people, plants and animals.
The Moon, like the law of life, is subject to cyclicity. New moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter are lunar phases symbolising the cycle of birth, death and rebirth. You may notice different cycles of human life by carefully observing lotus flowers on the picture.
The artwork is intended to become a talisman, or a kind of an amulet. Bring the soft, flowing power of the Moon to its owner, help to cope with emotional experiences and find inner peace and tranquility.
In a dark and difficult times, the feminine principle of the Mother Moon can turn out to be a saving support, because darkness will always be replaced by light, as well as death by life.
